James Archibald "Jimmie" Dunn (R) Receiving Past President'S Ring From Earl Dawson, Also A Past President Of The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. "Jimmie" Dunn Was Born March 24, 1898. At The Time Of His Induction Into The Hockey Hall Of Fame In 1968 He Had Completed 50 Years Of Service To Hockey. His Career Began Immediately After World War I Where He Served With Distinction Winning The Military Medal For Bravery. He Was League Secretary, Then Convenor And Timekeeper When The Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association Took Over His Leagues In 1927. In 1942 He Became Maha Vice-President And Three Years Later Began A Six Year Tenure As President. Later He Served As Caha Vice-President And President. In 1967 He Was Acting Convenor Of World Hockey Tournaments And In 1968 The Secretary Treasurer Of The Manitoba Hockey Players Foundation, Inc. He Also Held Offices In Other Sports: Baseball, Football, Lacrosse, Speed Skating, Basketball, Boxing And Track & Field. He Lives In Winnipeg |
