This was the first bridge across the creek. A man named "Daddy" Cooper lived at the mouth of the creek. He used to cut wood for the stern wheeler that plied the river from Prince Albert to Battleford, Saskatchewan. |

Several Attempts To Reach The Seat Of The Fire By The Stairway Proved Futile. The Firefighters Because Of The Smoke And Fumes Had To Confine Their Effort To Flooding The Interior Of The Building From Their Ladders And With Engines.
