description: Frame House Was Located 3 Miles West Of Innisfail, Ab; Built In 1890 By A Retired, Wealthy Tea Planter From Assam. The House Was Built Before The C & E Railroad. All Material Was Hauled By Ox Train From Calgary 90 Miles Away. Carpenters Were Brought In From Montreal, Plasters From England. There Was Wonderful Plaster Work On The Ceilings And Chandeliers And Foliated Decorations. This Was Probably The First Frame House Built Between Calgary And Edmonton. The Tea Planter'S Wife, Said To Be A Japanese Princess Drowned Herself. She Had Been Despondent Over Her Lonely Life In The Wilderness. The House Burned Down In 1940s
