description: First Part Of A Panoramic Photo Of His Royal Highness, The Duke Of Connaught, Governor-General Of Canada, Reviewing The Troops At Camp Sewell In Manitoba. The Duke Accompanied By His Suite And The Canadian Mounted Rifles Arrived At The Camp Sewell With Col. Elliott, Commandant Of The Camp. The Duke Inspected The Troops, Of Whom There Were About 3,500, For Over An Hour. The Number Of Troops Was Comparatively Small Because The Duke Had Suggested Troops Assist In The Bountiful Harvest. Following The Inspection, A March Past Took Place. The Duke, Surrounded By A Large Number Of Officers, Was Beside A Royal Standard, While The Troops Marched Past. The Troops Were The Fort Garry Horse, 44th, 45th, 46th, 53rd, 61st, 78th The Winnipeg Grenadiers (The Outstanding Regiment Both In Numbers, Over 1000 And In General Appearance, 79th (This Battalion Of 500 Came From Brandon And Had Trained Only For 6 Weeks But Did Very Well), 9th And 10th Canadian Mounted Rifles, 37th And 38th Field Battery, Army Service Corps And The Field Ambulance Corps.
