The Hotel Was Advertised As One Block From The Cn Union Station Which Was On Main Street At Broadway. The Fort Garry Was Owned And Operated By The Canadian National Hotels, Ltd. The Room Rates At The Time Were: Single $6.00 To $9.50; Double $9.00 To $12.50; Parlour, Bedroom And Bath,Single $15.00 To $20.00; Parlour Bedroom And Bath, Double $19.00 To $24.00. The 260 Rooms Each Has Either A Shower Or Tub Bath. Meals In The Main Dining Room: Club Breakfasts $.90, $1.20, $1.50; Table D'Hotel Luncheons From $1.60; Table D'Ote Dinners From $1.75. Supper Dances Were Held Each Saturday Night During The Winter Season

He Was Also A Notable Musician. One Of His Sons, George Victor Was Killed In Action At Fish Creek During The Riel Rebellion In 1885
