He Advanced Quickly Through Local Minor Hockey To Play Junior Hockey At Whitney Forum With The Flin Flon Bombers, The Scourges Of The Western Canada Hockey League In 1967 - 1969. Although One Of Canada'S Outstanding Juniors In 1969 He Was Not Drafted Until Late In The 2nd Round Because They Worried That He Was Diabetic. He Had A Brilliant 15 Year Career In The Nhl Highlighted By The Flyers' Capture Of The Stanley Cup In 1973- 1974 And 1974 - 1975 And His Two Time Selection As First All Star Centre In 1974 - 1975 And In 1975 - 1976; And His 3 Captures Of The Hart Trophy As The League'S Most Valuable Player In 1972-1973, 1974 - 1975, And 1975 - 1976. He Left As The Team'S All-Time Leading Scorer With 358 Goals And 852 Assists For 1,210 Points. He Retired As A Player On May 15,1984, And Was Appointed Vice-President And General Manager Of Philadelphia Flyers. He Was Inducted Into Manitoba Sports Hall Of Fame In 1987

He Died August 15,1962. Winner Canadian Trapshooting Championship

He Moved To Calgary In 1920 To Play In The Western League Until 1926 When He Was Sold To Boston Bruins. This Winnipeg Falcons Team Won The Allan Cup, And The Following Year Was The Olympic Gold Medalists Title Winner And World Champions In 1920. He Coached The Winnipeg Maroons, A Professional Club And In 1933 And 1934 He Coached The Winnipeg Team Which Won The World Championship. He Was As Well A Referee And Was In A Number Of Allan Cup And Memorial Cup Finals
