Transcontinental Touring In 1904: This English Napier Car Travelled By Road From Boston To Minneapolis, Where It Was Equipped With Flanged Wheels. It Then Took To The Rails, And Travelled To Moose Jaw, Sk., Over The Tracks Of The Soo Line, And Thence To Vancouver Over The Main Line Of The Canadian Pacific. A Total Of 1,733 Miles Were Travelled By Road And 1,803 Miles By Rail, Or 3,536 Miles In All. On The Railway The Car Was Treated As A Special Train, And A Conductor (Here Shown In The Back Seat) Was Always A Passenger. This Was The First Car To Cross The Canadian Rockies |
