Aerobee Rocket Is The Only Rocket Launched From Churchill Research Range Which Is Liquid Fueled. The Rocket'S Comparatively Slow Lift-Off Provides The Delicately Instrumented Payload With An Extremely Soft Ride Up To 180 Miles Altitude. A Solid Fueled Booster Rocket Provides The Initial Launch Velosity And The Long Guide Rails Of The Launching Tower Allow The Rocket To Achieve The Required Accuracy During Flight. This Photo Shows Both The Booster And The Sustainer Rocket Burning During The Early Stages Of The Rocket'S Flight., |
