Then He Formed The Firm Of Ross & Maw, Implement And Carriage Dealers With Head Office In Winnipeg. In 1896 He Formed The Firm Of Maw & Co To Carry On The Carriage Business, Later Entering The Automobile Trade. When He First Arrived In Calgary In 1883 It Was A Tent Town. In 1886 He Movedto Calgary For Three Years And Was Instrumental In Organizing The Calgary Exhibition Association And Served A Term On The City Council. He Suffered From A Heart Condition For Many Years And Retired South (California) The Last Three Years Of His Life. He Died On July 31, 1916, In Los Angeles At The Age Of 62. His Body Was Returned To Winnipeg For Burial In The St. John'S Cemetery. (See Also A0425-13733) |
