He also served as Lt. Col commanding the 100th Regiment of Grenadiers. He served with the Northwest Mounted Police from 1874 - 1877. He signed as witness in Gov. Morris' treaty with Cree tribes at Fort Carlton & Fort Pitt. He was with the Northwest Mounted Police on March from Fort Lynn to the Rocky Mountains. He was born in Ontario in 1852.
