Note The City Fathers Decked Out In Top Hats And Morning Coats Meeting The Barge With The Locomotive The Countess Of Dufferin. A Public Holiday Was Declared And A Special Issue Of The Manitoba Free Press Appeared On Streets. This Locomotive Was Used On The Pembina Branch, And Gave Winnipeg Its First Railway Connection With Ontario By Way Of St. Paul, Mn. Winnipeg Now Had A Regular Communication Link With The Outside World. (Colour)
