description: The Third Mulvey School, Winnipeg, Mb. At Maryland And Broadway. The Third Mulvey School Was Erected In 1895 To Replace The Second One Burned Earlier That Year. It Was Built On The Foundations Of The Old One. Nine Rooms Were Added In 1908. This School Served Until 1960, When Mulvey And Gordon Bell High School Traded Locations. Mulvey Moved Into The Former Gordon Bell And The Old Mulvey Was Demolidhed To Make Way For The New Gordon Bell High School. (The First Mulvey School, Which Burned On April 9, 1895, Was Considered The Finest In The City. The Three Storey School Near The Corner Of Maryland And Portage Had Been Built In 1893 At A Cost Of $27,000. In Addition To Primary Classes, It Housed The Normal School And On The Top Floor, The Provincial Government Museum.)
