From 1972 To 1975 He Owned The Canadian Shot Put Record With His Record Toss Of 19.88 Metres In 1975 And It Still Stands (1987). His Medals Include: In 1973, A Silver At The Pacific Conference Games; In 1974, A Bronze At The Common Wealth Games And A Gold Medal At The 1975 Pan American Games. In 1976 He Captained The Olympic Track And Field Team As The Olympic Games Were Held In Canada For The First Time. He Retired From The National Team As A Competitor In 1979. He Served A Term On The Canadian Track And Field Association Board Of Directors. He Coaches At University Of Manitoba High Performance Centre. He Had Been Involved In Senior Basketball, Coaching The Provincial Women'S Select Team For Several Years. In 1983 He Was Named The Ov Award Winner As The Year'S Outstanding Volunteer In Amateur Spots. He Was Inducted Into Manitoba Sports Hall Of Fame In 1987
