In 1908 He Returned To England And Married Edith Harriet Pannell And They Began Farming In Fannystelle Area In 1909. In 1911 They Purchased A Farm (36-8-3). During The War Years He Helped With The Red Cross And Sold Victory Bonds. He And His Wife Raised An Educated 9 Children During The Depression. He Was Timekeeper For Local Hockey Games And He Was Fond Of Fishing. He Was Active In Community Affairs And Served For 30 Years On The Board Of Local School District Of Maplestead First As A Trustee, Then For 27 Years As Secretary Treasurer. He Was One Of The Founding Members Fannystelle Pool Elevator Association, For Which He Served From Jan. 20, 1928 - 1971. He Was A Photographer And Landscape Gardener Besides Operating His 400 Acre Farm. He Was An Avid Curler And Is Seen Here Outside In His Curling Sweater Holding His Curling Broom. He Died In March 1976 |
